when meeting with your guide, for example the Ephesus Musuem...
What you will visit: Our guide will walk you through the history of Ephesus taking time at the Archaeolgical Site to explain the role and significance of various ruins. The route will take you past many monuments of the former Roman capital including the Odeum, the Temple of Hadrian, the Fountain of Trajan, the Gate of Hercules, the Marble Way, the Celsus Library, and the 40,000 seat Great Theatre where Paul the Apostle preached. When you have finished at Ephesus, you can visit the home believed to be where the Virgin Mary spent her golden years; visited before you by and declared sacred by several Popes. Next on the tour plan is the site where one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World once stood, the Temple of Artemis. Not far from there is St John's Basilica, where the Apostle was buried and a Basilica built in his name of such size to rival St Sophia's in Istanbul. Then your guide will escort you back to your drop off point. Along the road you might spot the Byzantine ruins of Selcuk, the Ali Bey Mosque and the Bulbol Mountain area and landscape inhabited by the Ephesians.
